Tenacious cells

Part of Fractals solo exhibition, this series presents an up-close exploration of the body in today’s globalized society and the female body when subject to change.

In this group of irregular, floating fragments of expressionism, the paper cutouts mounted on laser-cut plywood reflect a hands-on, intimate relationship between artist and material, while evoking microscopic imagery and deformed petri dishes.

‘Tenacious Cells’ was part displayed at Mashrabia gallery, Cairo, 2015
